Capital Pride Parade and Festival

Two raucous events cap off Capital Pride, the 10-day celebration of the Washington area’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community: a parade and street festival. The parade is themed "You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet," and more than 150 organizations and groups will march from Dupont Circle to Thomas Circle (Saturday at 6:30 p.m.). The review stand is on P Street NW between 14th and 15th streets. The festival takes over Pennsylvania Avenue NW from Fourth to Seventh streets in Northwest for an all-day party. Sunday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. It will feature live music, games and activities for children and beverage gardens courtesy of Nellie’s Sports Bar. For a complete schedule, visit
